Welcome to Ramblers, self-catering accommodation, in Bowness-on-Windermere in the heart of the Lake District. Ramblers is a traditional terraced Lakeland cottage, offering spacious and well equipped self-catering 3 bed room accommodation, a few minutes walk from the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and a five minute walk from the pier.
Ramblers is an ideal base from which to explore the Lake District. It is well suited to those seeking outdoor activities, such as climbing, fell walking, cycling, or sailing. It is equally suited to the less energetic, wishing to visit an abundance of Lakeland attractions, or simply to enjoy some of the finest and most magnificent scenery in the Lake District.

Part weeks minimum stay of three nights available by arrangement not in high season. We try to be flexible depending on availability to suit individual requirements – please enquire.
Weekly bookings Saturday to Saturday. The cottage is available from 16:00 hrs on the day of arrival. On departure, the cottage must be vacated by 10:00 hrs.
How to book
Please email: bookings@ramblers-cottage.co.uk, or telephone 01229 586301 to make a provisional booking. A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required within seven days to secure a booking. The balance is due 6 weeks before the start of the holiday. Holidays booked less than 6 weeks in advance should be paid in full.
Payment by cheque, payable to Hugh Gray, posted to White Craggs, Great Urswick,
Nr Ulverston, Cumbria LA12 0SL.Cancellation
All cancellations must be sent in writing to White Craggs, Great Urswick, Nr Ulverston, Cumbria LA12 0SL. Cancellations made prior to the final balance will result in the non-refundable deposit being forefeited. If a cancellation is received after full payment has been made, we would endeavour to re-let. If this was successful, we would refund the full amount, less the non-refundable deposit. If we were unable to re-let, the full amount would remain payable. We strongly recommend holiday insurance.
Good housekeeping
We do not ask for a deposit to cover breakages as we trust that visitors will respect our cottage. However, we do reserve the right to recover any costs if there is undue damage.
A cot and high chair are available on request. Towels, heating, electricity, and bed linen are all included.
Smoking
We would ask that you refrain from smoking whilst in the cottage, as non-smokers may find this offensive.
